The Teaching and Learning/Early Childhood Education Program provides classroom and laboratory experiences utilizing current and emerging trends and practices in education. Students study human development and teaching and learning, especially as it relates to Early Childhood Development and Education. Students gain practical experience in early childhood settings by performing specific observations, volunteering and assisting, preparing and implementing lessons, as well as completing Early childhood Internships in order to attain certification in Early Childhood Education (CDA). Students learn a variety of teaching strategies and age appropriate activities that will insure their success upon completion of the program.
